Transport to Sardinia

Until 14/05/2021, travel is only allowed for the following reasons: health, transport of goods, return to permanent/temporary residence, professional or necessary/urgent reasons. Self-certification is also required for each of these cases.

According to the Decree of the Region of Sardinia, extended until 14/05/2021 by Decree no. 15 of 30 April 2021, travel to a secondary residence is not allowed.

SARDINIA ORANGE ZONE
As of Monday 3 May 2021, Sardinia is in the "orange zone". This is stated in the decree of the Italian Minister of Health of 30 April 2021.

Since 08.03.2021 and until 14.05.2021, everyone arriving in Sardinia must register in the "Nuovo Coronavirus" area on the Sardinia Region website before embarking.
At the time of embarkation, you must also present a copy of this registration confirmation together with your boarding pass and a valid identity document.

In addition, ONE of the conditions stated in Article 4 of Regulation No. 5 of 05 March 2021, extended until 14.05.2021 by Regulation No. 14 of 30 April 2021, must be met: 

  • You declare that you have been vaccinated against Covid19;
  • You declare to have undergone a Covid19 test at least 48 hours before departure with negative results;
  • You undergo a Covid19 test on arrival or at the available testing sites or within 48 hours of arrival;
  • undergo mandatory self-isolation for 10 days, with the requirement to notify their family doctor, paediatrician of choice or, for non-residents, the local health department via the toll-free telephone number.

Transport to Sicily

Until 31/05/2021, travel is only allowed for the following reasons: health, transport of goods, return to permanent/temporary residence, professional or necessary/urgent reasons. Self-certification is also required for each of these cases.

Anyone entering Sicily must register on the website www.siciliacoronavirus.it and be in possession of the negative result of a Covid 19 molecular rino-pharyngeal test carried out in the last 48 hours. Commuters and people who left the island in the immediately preceding days to stay in mainland Italy for a period of less than four days are exempt.

Transport to Corsica

Departures are available from 20 May to 30 September 2021.

Crossings Santa Teresa - Bonifacio - Santa Teresa

All passengers travelling to Corsica must

  • present a negative PCR test carried out no more than 72 hours before departure and
  • provide the shipping company with a self-certification.

The self-certification declares that

  • you have no symptoms of COVID-19 infection;
  • you are not a confirmed case of COVID-19;
  • you have not been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the 14 days prior to travel.

The rules apply to passengers aged 11 and over.

Truck drivers are exempt.

IMPORTANT: If the documents are missing, embarkation will be refused.

BACK FROM CORSICA

As a result of the decree of the Ministry of Health of 21 September 2020, the obligation to perform a serological or rapid test in the 72 hours prior to entry into Italy is extended.

Alternatively, the serological or rapid test may be carried out at the local reference health authority within 48 hours of arrival in Italy.

Every passenger coming from Corsica must fill in this form. On arrival in Italy, the form must be handed over to the Ship's Border Police (Polmare).

 

 

Transport Elba and Tuscan Archipelago

Free travel is allowed between regions (without self-certification) that are in the yellow or white zone, while a permit or green certificate is required for regions in the orange or red zone.

The decree provides that the authorisation states the following:

  • the effected Covid19 vaccination, or
  • recovery from Covid19 disease, or
  • the negative result of a rapid molecular or antigenic test carried out less than 48 hours previously.

    Vaccination and recovery certificates are valid for 6 months.

Travel will furthermore only be allowed for the following reasons: health, transport of goods, return to permanent/temporary residence, for professional reasons or for necessary/urgent reasons. Self-certification is also required for each of these cases.
